We are selective with our team of therapists to ensure we provide the highest quality therapy services and also improve the residents' satisfaction with the community.
Our team of outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapists provide an unmatched level of expertise and dedication to returning you to your daily activities.
Physical therapists focus on rectifying impairments or physical limitations—such as those caused by injury, surgery or chronic conditions like arthritis or osteoporosis, for instance—helping patients strengthen muscles, regain balance and flexibility and/or reduce pain to improve overall mobility and functional ability.
Occupational therapists, on the other hand, focus on remediation of impairments and limitations. While they may, like physical therapists, work to help patients increase strength and flexibility to minimize impairments, they also help patients learn practical techniques to work around the difficulties imposed on their lives by those impairments. The goal is to maximize their ability to do the things they want and need to do despite these issues, increasing day-to-day function and independence.
Our speech language pathologists design treatment plans to address communication problems, memory loss, and swallowing dysfunction. These treatment plans can focus on comprehension skills for written and verbal communication as well as cognitive status, which may include memory, orientation, and reasoning skills. For patients with swallowing disorders, speech language pathologists also work to address oral muscle strength and function for speaking and for safe eating and drinking.
